Flower box

Remember in the last video I posted there was a cute flower box in it and that I was gonna make one? Well I did. :) I cut the box out at 4 inches and the first flower, then the second flower I cut it at 3 1/4. I used my Whooo's your Valentine stamp set to stamp on the stems and the Dream Big Occasions around the base of the box. I used Hollyhock and Blush cardstock along with hollyhock ink to ink the edges and stamp the sentiments.

Pigment vs Dye

Have you wondered which ink you should buy? Well it depends on your needs. If you want a more vibrant color then your choice would be the pigment dyes. If you want your ink to dry fast then a dye is more for you. If your like me and like options then both is good. The pigment dyes take longer to dry but really do stand out. Here is a new video by Close to my Heart talking about the differences in both inks.

Our Exclusive Inks® stamp pads offer an innovative in-lid pad to keep ink close to the surface. Labeled on three sides for quick reference, each pad is stackable, closes securely, and features a patented swivel base for easy access to the entire pad surface. Each is approximately 3 1/8" × 4" and contains dye-based or pigment-based ink that is vivid, luxurious, and true in color. It’s also archival safe and pH-neutral. Refresh a used stamp pad with a matching re-inker, available in every Exclusive Inks color.

Paper Pumpkin

Who loves Pumpkin? Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Pancakes and Pumpkin cake are all favorites of mine. Here is a cute little pumpkin I made using the Artiste Cricut cartridge by Close to My Heart.

I random stamped and inked the edges in Goldrush ink color. The leaves were also cut with the Artiste. I hot glued the leaves and button to the top. Pretty little pumpkin on my mantle. Almost 4 inches tall.

Coordinate with Cricut Cuts

Learn how to use your stamps to bring Cricut® cut-outs to life! Many Cricut® shapes from the Artiste and Art Philosophy collections coordinate with stamp sets so you have more potential for creating, decorating, and accessorizing!

Since purchasing my Art Philosophy and Artiste back in June and August, I haven't used any of my other cartridges. For me this what I always go to. I love how I can make dimensional items and card decor, home decor and more with these two cartridges. I love how they have stamps that coordinate with my cuts. It makes it super easy, no guessing. There is so much room for your own creativity to soar and grow. When you order either of these products you get more than just a cartridge, you get three stamp sets and the different dimensional elements also. To order your very own Art Philosophy or Artiste cartridge head on over to my website, or send me an email and I will help you get started!

Fall Banner

This was a fun banner to make. I got the idea off pinterest. :)

I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to make the letters, the squares and the leaves. I stamped the leaves with the cooridinating stamp that comes with the cartridge. I inked all the edges with chocolate ink... I use chocolate ink ALOT! It is one of those must have colors. The squares and the letters are cut from chipboard (old cereal boxes) then I cut paper and glued to chipboard for durablity.

Close up :)

September Stamps

Are you looking for some inspiration? Close to my Heart has a new book out called Make it from your Heart. It has scrapbook layouts and card layouts giving you lots of ideas.

Today I made a card from an idea in the book. I changed it up a bit, like I always do with recipes. :)

I used our super easy Silver Shimmer Trim, this stuff adds shine and its easy with its adhesive back. You get 5 yds of it! I used our stamp set that you can get for ONLY $5 with a $35 dollar order.

I used sweet leaf, gypsy and Hollyhock ink colors. And I got to use my stamp set enjoy and lower case glamour.

Notice the stamp that I used isnt quite the same. I used what is called the masking technique so that I could get just the frame part and not the with love saying inside. :) Super cool! It gives you even more stamps for your money!

I inked the edges in sorbet and chocolate inks. I cut out the leaves using the Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped it with the leaf stamp that comes with the cartridge.

I think it looks pretty on my mantle. :)

Some of my Favorite things.....

Today I'm posting about some of my favorite things by Close to my Heart.

First up...Liquid Glass
.

Apply this clear liquid to your stamped images, My Stickease™ art, or any other item for an extra bit of 3-D sparkle and shine. The fine-tip applicator lets you apply it precisely where you want for a glossy, glaze-like look. You can also use this as adhesive and make dots to look like gems! To purchase this awesome versatile stuff click here.

Next up are the TWO exclusive to close to my heart cricut cartridges.

Art Philosophy and the newest Artiste comes with 3 stamp sets and 3 sets of dimensional elements that all coordinate with the cartridge.
They are both great cartridges, the Artiste has even more 3d items you can make that also comes with a instructional booklet too. I have both and love them both. In fact I havent used another cartridge yet since receiving these. :) To purchase these click here

The other thing that I absolutely LOVE are their ink pads.

These are the best I've tried. I'm working at getting more of these, just like shoes, have to have one of each color! ;)

And finally......
The STAMPS!!!!

This one is the Enjoy stamp set, I love this and all of them! I have this one which is perfect for me when I want to bake something fresh for someone and need to make the perfect tag or wrap for it....

Our premium-quality decorative stamps are offered at a fraction of the cost of rubber, yet deliver all the benefits and beauty of every Close To My Heart product you’ve come to know and love. They’re easy to use, simple to store, and most importantly, offer creative control and artistic precision every time you use them.
Our exclusive clear blocks allow you to see exactly where the stamp is placed and whether there is even coverage of the ink. You can choose a block that perfectly fits an individual image, or design your own “scenes” by placing multiple images on a larger-size block. You can also manipulate the stamp images on the block to create curves or waves. Stamps have a “memory,” and will always go back to their original shape.
My Acrylix® stamps are made of a softer substance than rubber and don’t require as much pressure when in use. My Acrylix stamps provide the same results when used with embossing products, markers, watercolors, and more.
